Pam Tate
Writer/Singer/ Actress
Pam Tate lived most of her life in Manhattan. Sang, acted, wrote songs, got a tan on her roof, gigged infamous clubs, released 4 CDs, drank espresso, and raised two kids who love Shakespeare. She has a BA in Film Studies and Screenwriting. Served as Associate Director of The International Cabaret Conference at Yale. Pam writes historical dramas about women who make waves during times of social change – prostitutes in Victorian England, young Mill Girls during the Industrial Revolution, a drama about the seduction that enabled George Washington’s crossing of the Delaware River.
Pam won a national playwriting contest for her play, Leni, about Hitler’s filmmaker Leni Riefenstahl. She writes “Deep Focus,” a column about innovative women in film, for digital magazine Reel Lumiere. Pam serves on the Board of Directors for Nashville Women in Film & Television and the Tennessee Screenwriting Association. Her music is in all the usual places – Spotify, Amazon, Apple…
